Ange Postecoglou knows what he wants out of his team, and after a shaky opening couple of weeks, he found one of the cogs missing in his re-built Victory.
Nathan Coe.
Lawrence Thomas and Tando Velaphi came and went within weeks, as Postecoglou hand-picked a player he knew from Australia's youth teams earlier in the decade - a player he thought he needed so his new side could play the style of play he demanded.

"I've known Coey for a long time. He was an outfield player until his teens, so I know he was good with his feet and could adapt to how I wanted a keeper to play in our system," Postecoglou told foxsports.com.au.
"It's taken him a while – more for his goalkeeping than anything else. He didn't have a pre-season and came to us after the season started.
"So it's taken him a little while for us to see the best of him, but he's coming into form at a good time for us.
"He's a really good guy to have around the club. He's popular with his teammates.
"He comes to us with the right intentions. He wants to be successful and he's showing that on the field now."
Nathan Coe v Andrew Redmayne isn't normally the duel you'd go to the Melbourne derby to see, but these two shot-stoppers created a highlights reel of their own during the pulsating clash at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
Redmayne continued his outstanding form, picking up an Alex Tobin point. But he couldn't pick up back-to-back Save of the Week awards.
This week, the nod goes to Coe, who pulled off a number of stunning saves, with his top-corner leap off Gol Gol Mebrahtu's free-kick earning him Mark Bosnich's vote this week.
"This save was absolutely outstanding," Bozza said on Sunday Shootout.
"He brought out a point blank save reminiscent of Gordon Banks earlier … and this save is the hardest save to make except for the bottom corner."
